Book Description
Harriet Newell (1793-1812) was a blessed subject of divine grace from an early age. Her many writings, which overflowed with love for her Saviour and emanated a maturity of devotion that transcended her youth, are worthy of a place alongside those of other eminently pious women, such as Ruth Bryan and Mary Winslow.
Her love for foreign missions blossomed during her courtship with Rev. Samuel Newell. Shortly after their marriage, the couple left America to dedicate their lives to missionary labours.
Harriet's passion for missions remained steadfast, even in the face of great hardships, including the loss of her darling infant daughter, until her early and triumphant death at the age of nineteen in the Isle of France.
"I have never repented leaving all for Christ."
"Oh, the depth of sovereign grace! Eternity will be too short to celebrate the perfections of God."
-Harriet Newell
